Eligibility for B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

Eligibility for B.Tech (Lateral Entry) (Three Years Duration Course)
Minimum Academic Qualification	Passed Minimum 3-years / 2-Years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination in any branch of Engg. & Tech. with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category). OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. (The Universities will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achieve desired learning outcomes of the program) For Kashmiri Migrants (KM) relaxation in cut-off percentage upto 10% subject to minimum eligibility requirement. In compliance of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Haryana Memo. No. 15-1- 2020 NSS (2) dated 10.05.2023, the merit for admission to B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) will be prepared by granting the 05 additional marks to NSS Merit Certificate holder students as per their qualifying examination subject to the minimum percentage for admission to B.Arch. course as per 3.1. The candidates are required to upload their NSS merit certificate at the time of online registration. Note: As per AICTE, seats in lateral entry to B.Tech. Courses may be taken up to a maximum of 10% of sanctioned intake.
Basis of Admission	Admissions in B.E./ B.Tech (Lateral Entry)-2023 shall be made on the basis of the rank/inter-semerit to be prepared by HSTES from the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
